Film Synopsis

"Looking for Mr. Right" is a 20-minute short film offering a satirical take on South Asian dating in the U.S.

The story revolves around a 30-something South Asian girl, Tara, and her friend, Rohan, both of whom are lonely, depressed, and prone to taking risks in their lives. In desperation they decide to try a South Asian dating event suggested by Tara’s mother. They meet several funny characters at the event and later via other dating websites. After a climactic end, which is both comic and tragic, Tara and Rohan decide that the trials and tribulations of life are preferable to the goal of finding that one “perfect” person.
